Mickey Hart - Former drummer with The Grateful Dead Glen Velez - Played for many years with Paul Winter and The Paul Winter Consort. He now has his own group and is the undisputed top frame drum player in the US today. Layne Redmond - Creator and Director of The Mob of Angels who perform women's ritual drumming music. Ysaye Barnwell - Sings with the nationally known a capella vocal group "Sweet Honey in the Rock". The songs she has written for the group are among their most popular hits. Invitations to Baltimore City Visions Art Exhibit -1992 The Art and Sculpture Show at the Resurgam Gallery -1993 Two ThunderHeart drums purchased by the Peabody Conservatory of Music for its instrument collection -1994 Three ThunderHeart drums, including ThunderHeart ( one of the largest natural skin drums in the world) were featured in a concert of percussion music by the Peabody Percission Ensemble -1995. ThunderHeart appeared in a concert with the Marine Band at Sousa Hall -1996. The Marine Band purchased a ThunderHeart djembe -1996. Community Fellowship Award from The Open Society Institute 1999- for bringing a drumming program to an inner city school in Baltimore and building for the school a 36" ceremonial drum.
